Launch of Milady Lipstick (first lipstick manufactured in Spain).

Launch of Agua Lavanda PUIG, a landmark fragrance.
1946
Construction of a new factory and headquarters in Travessera de Gràcia (Barcelona).
1948
Launch of l’Air du Temps by Nina Ricci, an enduring success.
1950
Antonio, Mariano, José María and Enrique Puig Planas, the family’s second generation, join the company.
1960
Mariano Puig Planas authorizes construction of a factory in the Besòs Industrial Park, to keep pace with the company's international expansion.
1962
Puig establishes offices in the United States.
1966
Launch of Moana, a leader in bath and shower gels.
1968
Creation of the Paco Rabanne Parfums division in France. Launch of Agua Brava.
1969
Launch of Calandre, the first Paco Rabanne perfume for women. Launch of Azur, a leading feminine fragrance.
1972
Puig establishes an affiliate in the United Kingdom.
1973
Creation of Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, a revolutionary men's fragrance. Launch of Estivalia, bolstering the sophisticated image of Puig products.
1976
Construction of the perfume factory in Chartres (France).
1979
Puig establishes an affiliate in Panama.
1982
Quorum, the company’s most international line, wins Best Packaging of the Year at the FiFi Awards (New York).
1987
Puig acquires the entire Paco Rabanne business, including fashion and accessories.
1988
Launch of the first Carolina Herrera designer fragrance.
1995
Acquisition of the Carolina Herrera New York fashion division.
1997
Launch of 212 by Carolina Herrera New York. License agreement with Antonio Banderas and launch of Diavolo. Creation of Puig in Chile.
1998
Acquisition of the Nina Ricci fragrance and fashion business. CEO Mariano Puig hands over the reins of the company to the Executive Board. Puig present in Asia-Pacific.
2000
Acquisition of Myrurgia, the Spanish fragrance company, owner of brands such as Adolfo Dominguez, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada and Mango. Puig signs a joint venture with Chalhoub in the Middle East.
2001
Antonio Puig S.A. acquires GAL. Puig establishes affiliates in Argentina and Belgium.
2002
Puig signs an agreement to develop fragrances for Comme des Garçons. Sales outside of Spain exceed 50 percent of the company’s total business.
2004
Marc Puig is named CEO.
2007
Marc Puig is appointed Chairman and CEO.
2008
Launch of 1 Million by Paco Rabanne, a worldwide success. Puig enters joint venture with Shakira to launch fragrances.
2010
Puig establishes affiliates in Russia and Brazil.
2011
Puig acquires a majority stake in the French fashion house Jean Paul Gaultier.
2013
Inauguration of new headquarters on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Launch of Invictus, a fragrance for men by Paco Rabanne. Harvard University writes a case study on Puig.
2014
Puig celebrates its 100th Anniversary. Inauguration of Puig Tower, the company’s new corporate headquarters in Barcelona. Launch of the Puig Sustainability Program to 2020.
2015
Puig acquires Penhaligon’s and L’ Artisan Parfumeur.
2016
Puig fully integrates Jean Paul Gaultier fragances.
2018
Puig and Christian Louboutin announce a long-term license agreement under the Christian Louboutin brand to boost the beauty business. Puig invests in Dries Van Noten fashion house as majority shareholder.
2020
Puig acquires a majority stake in Charlotte Tilbury, the British iconic luxury makeup and skincare brand launched in 2013.
2022
Puig acquires a majority stake in Byredo and became majority shareholder of Kama Ayurveda and Loto del Sur in whose it had held a minority stake since 2019.
2023
Puig is Global Partner of the 37th America’s Cup and the official naming partner of the inaugural Women’s America’s Cup.
2024
Puig acquires majority stake in Dr. Barbara Sturm. Puig unveils its new visual identity with a new logo paying tribute both to Puig’s legacy and bright future ahead and, while placing creativity at the very center, and reflecting Puig’s culture and values. On May 3, 2024, Puig begins trading on the Spanish Stock Exchanges.
