Iconic, iconoclastic: since the label’s creation in Tokyo in 1969, Comme des Garçons has exerted an outsize influence on fashion. Founder Rei Kawakubo’s creative vision evolves outside of accepted notions of gender, beauty and luxury. Ever curious, always restless, Comme des Garçons continues to blaze new trails beyond the world of fashion. Collaborations with artists working in a variety of media have earned the House wide recognition as a contemporary creative hub.

Puig signed with Comme des Garçons in 2002 to produce the label’s premium fragrances under license. Each scent is imagined as a unique olfactory expression of the Comme des Garçons aesthetic.

Wonderwood (2010), for example, was inspired by the notion of “wood gone mad”; Amazing Green (2012) astonishes with its signature accord of gunpowder, ivy and flint; Floriental (2015), a “disrupted flower,” is an ode to cistus – a blossom with no scent.

In 2017, Comme des Garçons launched Concrete, an exploration of destruction, construction and creation. Emerging into a world where its namesake material is ubiquitous, Concrete subverts preconceptions, demolishes convention and paves the way for something new.

Unconventional and ungendered, Comme des Garçons fragrances are not designed to please everyone. Yet they are known to inspire a fanatical devotion in those who fall under their spell.
