At Puig, we are strongly committed to guaranteeing the quality of the cosmetic products we produce, and assuring that they are free from impurities. To ensure this, we have been using alternatives to animal testing for many years.
Since 1990, Puig has not used animals to test the safety of our products. Instead, we use bibliographic studies and scientific databases that allow us to comprehensively evaluate the safety of the ingredients we use. Our experience in the field allows us to guarantee optimal quality without conducting tests on animals.
We also use different methods of in vitro scientific testing, in conjunction with In Vivo testing in human subjects, which have been validated and approved by official European organizations (such as the Phototoxicity test validated by the European Reference Laboratory for Alternatives to Animal Testing, ECVAM, and integrated into Appendix V of the Dangerous Substances Directive 67/548/EEC, part B.41, April 2000).
In this way, Puig is able to bring its customers products of the highest quality, while guaranteeing their complete and total safety.
